Hello there, friend,

I have officially been working from home for five years. Before that I was juggling freelance writing jobs and teaching, which provided a good balance. Then we moved to New York and I stopped working outside of the home. I was fortunate to take on a steady part-time job, and I am so grateful. Without that job, my family would have been up the creek without a paddle. Or I would have had to go back to work full time.

Even though I am so thankful for that job and for the (seemingly hundreds, but probably more like half a dozen) others I've acquired since, working from home can be exhausting. I'm carrying the full weight of that this week. I have spent as much time in front of the computer in the last week as I have all month, and I've been desperate for the calendar to flip over to April while worrying that I'm running out of time. Add in spring break for everyone else in my family and, boy, what a roller coaster it's been.

All that to say, sometimes I just want to throw my hands up in the air. And today is one of those days. I see the finish line coming, but I'm still slogging away. Hurry up, April!

xo,
L
