hello there, friend,

what you say is something i'm struggling with as well. when i share, what's my purpose? do i have to have one? is it enough to notice something and not share it? i think of the adage, "if a tree falls in the woods and no one is there to hear it, does it make a sound?"

long ago, when i first started seeking gratitude, i wanted documentation of the lovely and beautiful, the hilarious, and the mundane. i wanted proof that all the parts of life were beautiful, even if they were messy. taking pictures and sharing them was part and parcel of learning to be grateful and reflective at the end of the day - it helped put my gratitude practice into motion.

what i find now is that there are still times when i want or need that proof, but i question more and more what i'm adding to the already noisy world we live in.

xo,
b
